Mom's (Marianne's) Heart surgery

6-15-09 F.Y.I. family & friends. Mom, Marianne Wootton began having trouble breathing. She called me,and I met her in emergency. That was last Monday,June 8th. They cleared her lungs and began tests. It was known she had one weak valve. Tests showed further deterioration to that valve and weakening of another. There were also a number of vessels feeding the heart with blockages of 70& 75%. It was decided to complete clearing her lungs of fluid and then operate. Today6-15-09 at 7:00a.m. the surgery began and was completed by 1:10ish. Right now she is stable in recovery. When ready they will remove the respirator, sit her up in bed and eventually sit her in a chair. Barring any problem she will then be moved to a reg. hospital room where she is expected to stay for 4, or 5 days. If you would like to send good wishes she is at Dixie Regional Medical Center St.George,Utah. All prayers are welcome as well. I trust you know that address. We expect a full if slow recovery. I will let you know when she is in her reg. hospital room.
